This is the first piece I made in this style. I started with a sketch of the outline shape, then I put a thin, soft grid in it, so I would have a good reference for the horizontal and vertical lines. After this setup I began to draw the lines with a fineliner on that grid and tried to stay within the basic shape I sketched before. To me it looks like a river avoiding obstacles and making it’s way through the landscape.
